Shrub/Small Tree Trimming – Spring
This service is generally performed during the spring cleanup and includes selective hand pruning to thin and shape certain deciduous trees and shrubs. Limbs and branches of trees that overhang walkways, contact buildings or building components may to be pruned. Height limit is 12 feet.
Shrub / Small Tree Trimming – Summer and Fall
This service is completed late May to Late July and includes trimming of new leader growth from plants. Sucker growth will be removed from ornamental and hardwood trees from the base and trunk areas of the trees. Normal shrub trimming service does not include severe pruning which is defined as: dead wooding over 25% of a shrub in decline, removal of inside branches of a plant, trimming or limbing up of trees over 12 feet in height, and removal of more than the new growth on shrubs.
Tree Pruning
Trees up to 12′ are pruned of low hanging or dead branches and limbs that are coming into contact with buildings or interfering with walkways. Included in this service is Ornamental tree trimming. Tree pruning is typically performed after 1st growth cycle; early summer or during the dormant winter season.
Perennial and Ornamental Grass Cut Back
This service is performed after the first killing freeze and includes cutting back shrub roses, perennials and ornamental grasses.
Dormant Shrub Pruning
This service includes hard pruning and thinning of plant material during the winter dormant season (November through February).
The purpose of this pruning is to dramatically reshape / resize the plant and to stimulate new
growth from the base of the plant.
