We suggest the following services for this time of year:

Seasonal Reminders  - January - March
• Apply a quick release lawn fertilizer with crabgrass and other annual weed grasses pre-emergent. Do this in late February when soil temperatures reach 50 degrees.
• Clean winter debris, leaves, and sticks from landscape beds.
• Prune shrub roses to 12" above ground level in March.
• Prune trees and bushes of dead branches, sucker growth, and new leader growth before the plants start budding out.
• Seed areas in need of addition grass in March. Avoid applying any fertilizer with pre-emergents to the seeded area.
• Begin spring cleanup in landscape beds in March. This includes edging the beds, turning over existing mulch to improve compost activity, applying pre-emergents, and applying no more than 2" of mulch over landscape beds.
