Let us help you plan ahead to keep your property looking top-notch.
We suggest the following services for this time of year:
· Apply a broadleaf weed control to the lawn areas. · Keep landscape beds free of weeds by pulling and/or using a chemical weed control product. · Begin mowing grass. Do not cut off more than 1/3 of the grass blade each cut. Maintain grass height in the 3-4” range. · Watch trees and shrubs for insect activity. Spider mites are active on evergreen shrubs this time of year. A broad spectrum insecticide or a miticide application may be needed at this time. · The first bush trimming of shrubs and small trees should be completed in May. Do not remove any more than a minimum of the new growth from the bushes. · If any seeding of lawn areas is required, it should be completed no later than the end of April. Do not apply pre-emergent fertilizer to these areas. · April and May are a good time to install new landscape bushes before the summer time heat begins.
